Fitting / Fitment Testing Engineer

desktop UI workflows, system behaviour, integration points, and C#/.NET–based application architecture

Key Responsibilities

Fitment / Fitting Testing

• Perform

  fitment testing

  to ensure new features integrate correctly with existing desktop application modules.
• Validate functional alignment between

  requirement specs

  and implemented features.
• Analyze and verify

  UI component fitment

  , control placements, and behavior consistency.
• Conduct

  feature-to-feature compatibility checks

  in desktop environments.

Desktop Application Testing (C# / .NET)

• Test desktop applications developed in

  C#, .NET Framework/.NET Core, WPF, WinForms

  .
• Validate

  application workflows

  , UI responsiveness, and data processing accuracy.
• Perform

  installation testing

  , version upgrade testing, and system compatibility testing.

Functional, System & Integration Testing

• Develop and execute detailed

  test cases, test scenarios, and test plans

  .
• Conduct

  integration testing

  across internal modules and external dependencies.
• Perform

  system testing

  on various OS configurations (Windows 10/11, different hardware setups).

Regression & Performance Testing

• Execute regression test cycles to ensure new changes do not affect existing functionality.
• Conduct basic performance checks on application responsiveness and stability.

Defect Management

• Identify, log, and track defects using tools (JIRA/Azure DevOps/HP ALM).
• Collaborate closely with C#/.NET developers to debug and resolve issues.
• Provide detailed defect documentation with reproduction steps and logs.

Automation (Good to Have)

• Exposure to automation frameworks for desktop apps (e.g., WinAppDriver, TestStack.White, Appium for Windows).
• Basic scripting knowledge (C#, PowerShell) is a plus.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare test reports, requirement traceability matrices (RTM), and fitment validation summaries.
• Maintain updated documentation for test coverage and quality assurance processes.
