Financial Planning Manager

You will be responsible for contributing to the Finance team as a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Specialist in the dynamic background verification industry. Your primary role will involve aiding in strategic decision-making through precise forecasting, budgeting, and financial insights. To excel in this position, you must possess a deep comprehension of financial modeling, cost management, and industry-specific metrics like verification volume, turnaround time, and client retention profitability. Your key duties will include enhancing the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, conducting comprehensive financial analysis to back strategic initiatives and pricing strategies, and preparing detailed monthly and quarterly financial performance reports with variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs). Collaborating with operational and sales teams to forecast demand, analyze revenue streams, and optimize cost structures will also be essential. Additionally, you will partner with IT and Ops teams to grasp system/data impacts on financial metrics, build dashboards and models to assess profitability by client, product line, and geography, and monitor financial risks and opportunities. Furthermore, you will support investor reporting, board presentations, and ad hoc analysis, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory financial reporting requirements. The ideal candidate for this role should hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, with 3-7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in services, SaaS, or compliance-driven industries. Proficiency in financial modeling and Excel, along with experience in financial software/tools, is required. An understanding of background verification industry metrics and compliance requirements would be advantageous. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions are also vital competencies for this role.
