Role Description


Financial Consultant – NRI

The role involves field-based client acquisition, portfolio management, consistent client engagement, and cross-selling of third-party products—without any mis-selling. You’ll be responsible for building strong, long-term relationships while contributing to the company’s asset and revenue growth.


  • Expand the NRI client base

    through various channels such as PIS partner banks, client referrals, cold calling, exchange houses, and lead generation.
  • Promote and advise

    on a wide range of financial products tailored to NRIs, including:
  • Mutual Funds Insurance Equity & Debt Instruments Portfolio Management Services (PMS)
  • Smartfolios and future product offerings
  • Drive cross-selling and up-selling

    of third-party financial products while ensuring ethical sales practices and avoiding mis-selling.
  • Grow and maintain Assets Under Management (AUM)

    of acquired clients.
  • Maintain regular contact

    with clients through phone calls and face-to-face meetings to build long-term trust.
  • Educate prospective clients

    on the company’s services, investment offerings, and market value.
  • Update clients

    with timely market intelligence such as equity research, NFOs, IPOs, and mutual fund opportunities.
  • Support clients

    in completing investment applications and ensure all documentation is processed accurately.
  • Provide excellent after-sales service

    , manage follow-ups, and ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Report client acquisition activities

    to supervisors and maintain accurate entries in CRM/back-office systems.

  • Finance and Analytical Skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients
  • Experience with financial software and tools is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university (mandatory)

Experience

  • 0–2 years of experience in financial services, banking, wealth management, or sales
  • Freshers with strong communication skills and a keen interest in financial markets are welcome

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and local language (Malayalam preferred)
  • Understanding of financial products such as Mutual Funds, Equity, Insurance, PMS, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and client engagement skills
  • Ability to travel and work in a target-oriented, field-based environment
  • Proficient in using CRM or client management tools

Certifications

  • Willingness to obtain mandatory certifications (e.g., NISM) as per industry standards
