Job Profile – Financial Analyst (Project Finance / Debt Syndication)

The Financial Analyst will support project finance and debt syndication assignments by assisting in project appraisal, financial modelling, credit analysis, and lender coordination. The role involves working closely with senior advisors, banks, and financial institutions to support transactions from mandate initiation to sanction and disbursement.

The analyst will be involved in preparing feasibility studies, Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), Information Memorandums (IMs), credit appraisal notes, and lender presentation material. The role provides hands-on exposure to live funding transactions across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support project appraisal and debt syndication mandates
  • Prepare feasibility studies, DPRs, IMs, and credit appraisal notes
  • Build and analyze financial models including cash flows, DSCR, IRR, sensitivity, and stress testing
  • Conduct credit analysis, risk assessment, and covenant analysis
  • Coordinate with banks, NBFCs, DFIs, and other lenders during appraisal and due diligence
  • Support lender queries, documentation, sanction, and disbursement processes
  • Track lender feedback, approval conditions, and compliance requirements
  • Assist in preparation of term sheets, sanction summaries, and presentations

Skill Set Required

  • Strong understanding of financial statements and project finance concepts
  • Financial modelling skills (cash flow analysis, DSCR, IRR, sensitivity analysis)
  • Knowledge of credit appraisal and risk assessment
  • Ability to prepare structured reports and lender documentation
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and manage timelines

Qualification Required

  • 1–3 years of experience in Project Finance, Debt Syndication, Credit Appraisal, or Corporate Banking
  • Educational background:
  • CA (Inter) / MBA (Finance) / CFA Level I or II preferred
  • Engineering graduates with MBA (Finance) also preferred
  • Experience with banks, NBFCs, rating agencies, consulting, or advisory firms is an advantage

Job Types: Full-time, Internship

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
