Job Description

Summary of the position
To manage and develop the services of the Finance department, in order that all the financial management processes of the company are delivered in accordance with highest governance and professional standards. Key accountabilities

  • Production of Management Accounts P&L monthly actual and forecast figures, reporting against budgets and forecasts.
  • Collation of management accounts from around the Group and preparation of monthly board & management packs
  • Management of group work carried out in India, supporting team and suggesting process improvements
  • Work with the Group Financial Controller to produce the Consolidated Financial Statements ready for audit at year end.
  • Involvement in yearly budget process.
  • Ad hoc project/financial analysis.
  • Ensure all controls and procedures are adhered, to improve where necessary.
  • Supervision, training and development of finance team
  • Compliance & taxes reconciliations, returns and refund
  • Working capital management incl ensuring right hedging levels across the year .
  • Ensure compliance with all state, domestic and foreign tax laws.
  • Create and maintain an accounting system which provide accurate timely and consistent input for management reporting.
  • Liaising with consultants for routine accounts, finance, and taxation matters
  • Build cross-functional relationships, quickly building trust & credibility across the business, create a culture of strong financial discipline to allow for continued business agility and growth.
  • Challenge the business decisions/requests made from a financial point of view, working with finance team to review and suggest alternative potentially more cost-effective options that might be available.
  • Ensure that Balance Sheet accounts are reconciled monthly.
  • Designing and reporting Internal audit and control reporting framework for group.

Skills and Experience | Essential

  • Qualified CA with the ability to both show and take initiative
  • Should be able to share ideas within the team and enthusiastic person
  • Sound Analytical skills and team player with growth mindset
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Good experience of handling financial controls and systems
  • Experience with working on Indian accounting packages like Tally and Zoho
  • Working knowledge on Balance sheet, Finalization and understanding taxation norms

Skills and Experience | Desirable

  • Experience with working on UK accounting package - SAGE
  • Knowledge of UK regulations & taxes would be an advantage.
