Finance Application Developer (Tally & PL/SQL)

We are seeking a candidate with a unique blend of technical development skills and a deep

understanding of core financial processes.

Experience Level:

Core Function:

core financial systems. The developer will act as a bridge between our Tally ERP system

and our backend Oracle database, ensuring seamless data flow, accuracy in financial

reporting, and the creation of custom solutions to support the finance department.

2. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain custom functionalities and integrations for Tally ERP 9 /

TallyPrime.

2.Write, optimize, and maintain complex PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, and

triggers to handle financial data processing and business logic within the Oracle

database.

Manage the integration and data synchronization between Tally and other business

applications, ensuring data integrity is maintained at all times.

Collaborate directly with the finance team to understand requirements for new reports,

modules, and system enhancements.

Translate accounting requirements into technical solutions, particularly concerning

General Ledger structures, automated ledger posting rules, and the generation of P&L

and Balance Sheet reports.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Tally performance, data

discrepancies, and integration failures.

Develop and support data migration processes for financial data.

3. Must-Have Skills & Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)

Tally Expertise:

including in-depth knowledge of its architecture, database structure, and integration

capabilities (e.g., via APIs or ODBC).

PL/SQL Proficiency:

able to write and manage sophisticated database objects independently.

Core Accounting Knowledge:

a solid, practical understanding of fundamental accounting principles, including:

General Ledger (GL) and Chart of Accounts

The process of Ledger Posting and its impact

Trial Balance

Profit & Loss (P&L) Statements

Balance Sheets
