Job Description:

Collaborate with medical physicists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize imaging protocols for patient safety and diagnostic accuracy.
Provide training and education to staff members on radiation safety practices, including proper handling of X-ray equipment, radiation protection measures, and emergency procedures.
Stay current with developments in radiation safety regulations, technology, and best practices, and disseminate relevant information to relevant stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations governing the use of radiation-emitting devices, including licensing, registration, and reporting requirements.
Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies during inspections or inquiries related to radiation safety and quality assurance.
Coordinate maintenance, servicing, and calibration of diagnostic X-ray equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Evaluate new equipment purchases or upgrades for compliance with radiation safety standards and QA requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's & Diploma In Electronics, Electrical & Mechanical degree or higher in a relevant field such as health medical, radiologic technology, or a related discipline.
Certification as a Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) or eligibility to obtain certification.
In-depth knowledge of radiation safety principles, regulations, and best practices, particularly in the context of diagnostic X-ray equipment.
Experience in implementing and managing radiation safety programs in healthcare or industrial settings.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for conducting QA tests and data analysis.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for training staff and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
