About The Opportunity

Industry: Apparel & Fashion Retail — Branded apparel and lifestyle wear serving retail, wholesale and D2C channels across India. We operate a hybrid sales model combining in-field customer engagement with remote commercial operations to grow retail footprint and revenue from tier-1 to tier-3 markets.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Own an assigned territory: execute field sales plans to acquire and grow retail accounts, distributors and multi-brand outlets while meeting monthly/quarterly revenue targets.
  • Develop and manage channel partners and key accounts—negotiate terms, set SKU mix, manage stock allocations and ensure on-shelf availability and visual merchandising standards.
  • Drive route-to-market initiatives: implement trade promotions, merchandising campaigns, and local activation to increase sell-through and market share.
  • Deliver accurate sales forecasting, pipeline updates and territory-level reporting through CRM; convert leads to orders and manage collections follow-up.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends to recommend pricing, assortment and promotional adjustments to maximize margins and volume.
  • Coach and influence retail staff and distributor sales teams on product features, merchandising standards and sales techniques to improve execution.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have
  • 3+ years of proven field sales experience in apparel, fashion retail, footwear or FMCG with demonstrated territory/target ownership.
  • Strong B2B selling skills—retailer/distributor acquisition, contract negotiation and account management success.
  • Familiarity with retail merchandising, visual standards and SKU-level assortment planning.
  • Proficient in CRM usage (Salesforce, Zoho or equivalent), MS Excel for reporting and basic sales forecasting.
  • Comfortable with frequent travel within assigned territory and flexible hybrid work (field + remote). Valid driving license preferred.

Preferred

  • Experience managing distributor relationships and roll-out at scale across multi-city territories.
  • Exposure to incentive-driven sales environments with experience managing sales promotions and trade marketing activities.
