Core Responsibilities:

  • Merchant Acquisition & Onboarding:

  • Identify and visit retail shops, small and medium businesses, street vendors, and other merchants in a designated geographical area.
  • Pitch the benefits of accepting digital payments via the Paytm platform.
  • Onboard new merchants onto the Paytm ecosystem, completing the necessary documentation and setup.


  • Product Deployment & Setup:

  • QR Code:

    Deploy Paytm QR codes (both static and dynamic) at merchant locations and ensure they are prominently displayed.
  • Soundbox:

    Sell or deploy the Paytm Soundbox device, which provides instant voice confirmation of payments, and ensure it is correctly mapped to the merchant's Paytm account.
  • Training and Education:

  • Educate merchants on how to use the QR code for receiving payments and how the Soundbox provides audio confirmation.
  • Articulate the benefits of these solutions, such as instant payment confirmation, security, reduced cash handling, and business growth.
  • Provide best practices for using the devices and the Paytm for Business app.
  • Sales Target Achievement:

  • Meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets for the deployment of QR codes and Soundboxes, as well as driving transaction volume.
  • Relationship Management and Servicing:

  • Revisit inactive or low-transaction merchants to understand and resolve any issues (technical, operational, or educational).
  • Address merchant queries and provide on-the-spot troubleshooting.
  • Explain new offers, promotional schemes, and cross-sell other Paytm products (like EDC machines, financial products, etc.).


Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Field Sales Executive, located in Lucknow. The Field Sales Executive will be responsible for generating leads, managing client relationships, and achieving sales targets. Day-to-day tasks include identifying potential customers, presenting PAYTM's products and services, negotiating contracts, closing sales, and providing excellent customer service. Additionally, the Field Sales Executive will be expected to report on sales activities and participate in sales meetings and training sessions.


Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in lead generation, client relationship management, and achieving sales targets
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in negotiation and closing sales
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
  • Experience in the fintech or financial services industry is advantageous
  • Willingness to travel and work in the field
  • Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
