Job Summary:

Role & responsibilities:

  • Revenue & Quota Attainment:

    Achieve or exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets for residential solar installations.
  • Customer Acquisition:

    Drive new homeowner sign-ups and expand the customer base within the designated territory.
  • Sales Pipeline Management:

    Maintain a high-quality, sufficient pipeline of qualified leads and successful conversions.
  • Deal Closing Rate:

    Maximize the percentage of proposals converted into signed contracts.
  • Customer Satisfaction:

    Ensure a high level of post-sale customer satisfaction and minimal cancellations.
  • Team Performance:

    Recruit, train, and coach the sales team to ensure individual target achievement and high productivity.
  • Process Efficiency:

    Utilize CRM tools effectively and ensure the sales process (from site assessment to contract) is efficient and compliant.

Preferred candidate profile:

Financial & Outcome KPIs (Lagging)

  • Monthly/Quarterly Revenue:

    Total generated revenue from closed sales.
  • Average Deal Size (ADS):

    The average dollar value of each closed contract.
  • Win Rate / Proposal-to-Close Rate:

    Percentage of presented proposals that result in a signed contract.

Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC):

Activity & Efficiency KPIs (Leading)

  • Lead-to-Appointment Rate:

    Percentage of new leads converted into qualified sales meetings/site visits.
  • Pipeline Velocity:

    How quickly a lead moves from initial contact to a closed deal.
  • Team Quota Attainment:

    Percentage of the team meeting or exceeding their individual sales targets.

Customer & Quality KPIs

  • Cancellation Rate:

    Percentage of signed contracts that are cancelled before installation.
  • Net Promoter Score (NPS):

    Customer rating of likelihood to recommend the company/product.
  • Referral Rate:

    Percentage of new business generated through customer referrals.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education:

    Bachelor's degree (any field) OR MBA (in a relevant field like Sales, Marketing, or Business).
  • Experience:

    Minimum 2-3 years in a direct sales or business development.

Technical Skills:

  • Sales Process Management: Proficiency in the full sales cycle (prospecting, pitching, negotiation, closing).
  • CRM Software: Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools for pipeline tracking and reporting.
  • Business Reporting: Ability to gather and analyse sales data to forecast and measure KPIs.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the relevant product/service/market.

Soft Skills:

  • Communication:

    Strong verbal and written skills for clear, persuasive internal and external interactions.
  • Multitasking/Prioritization:

    Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, leads, and administrative tasks simultaneously under pressure.
  • Adaptability & Flexibility:

    Willingness to travel frequently and adjust work schedule/approach based on business needs and client locations.
  • Negotiation & Persuasion:

    Skill in handling objections and driving deals to a successful close.
