Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve primary and secondary sales targets for the assigned territory.
  • Manage and expand the distribution network within the designated area.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with retailers, distributors, and other channel partners.
  • Implement sales strategies and promotional activities to increase product visibility and market share.
  • Conduct regular market visits to monitor sales performance, gather market intelligence, and address any issues.
  • Please make sure merchandising and stock management at retail points.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base.
  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports, market feedback, and competitor analysis.
  • I'd like you to collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and supply chain, to ensure smooth operations.
  • Manage commercial hygiene, including timely payments and account reconciliation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in field sales within the FMCG sector, specifically in food and beverages
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of the Mumbai market and its distribution channels.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory in Mumbai.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in managing both General Trade and Modern Trade accounts.
  • Experience in recruiting and managing on-ground sales teams (if applicable).
  • Strong analytical skills to monitor sales data and market trends
  • Prior experience with HORECA clients is an advantage
