We are looking a Field Co-ordinator Agriculture Expert to lead and coordinate field-level training programmes, workshops, and farmer field schools. The role involves monitoring agricultural operations, conducting field surveys, and providing on-the-spot technical support to farmers. The candidate will work closely with farmer communities, Panchayat leaders, and government departments to promote sustainable practices and climate resilience.

Key responsibilities

Organize and coordinate training sessions, technical programmes, workshops,and farmer field schools in collaboration with the project core team.
Monitor field operations such as sowing, nutrient application, irrigation practices, and yield recording, including the supervision of demonstration plots.
Conduct special field surveys and undertake field visits across villages to assesscrop conditions, monitor progress, identify challenges, and provide timely, on-the-spot solutions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local farmer communities,Panchayat leaders, and government officials (e.g., Agriculture Department staff,KVKs and other stakeholders).
Identify potential Climate Champions from the community and support their training and leadership development
Translate scientific recommendations in to simple farmer-friendly advisories in Tamil language.
Facilitate linkages between farmers and government schemes, input suppliers,and financial institutions (banks/FPOs).
Conduct periodic meetings with stakeholders (farmers, Climate Champions,FPOs, extension officers, and other stakeholders) to update them on projectprogress.
Collect feedback from stakeholders and communicate it back to the project coreteam for corrective measures.
Maintain documentation (photos, videos, and farmer testimonials) for processtracking and impact reporting.

Essential Qualification

Master s degree in Agronomy

Experience desirable

5 8 years of relevant experience required.
