Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising all food and beverage service operations to ensure high-quality service, customer satisfaction, and profitability while maintaining hygiene, safety, and service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Service Operations

  • Oversee daily food and beverage service in restaurants, bars, banquets, and room service
  • Ensure smooth coordination between service staff and kitchen staff
  • Maintain service quality and standard operating procedures (SOPs)

2. Staff Management

  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise service staff
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback
  • Ensure staff grooming, discipline, and professional behavior

3. Guest Satisfaction

  • Handle guest complaints and special requests professionally
  • Ensure excellent guest experience and service recovery when needed
  • Build positive relationships with regular and VIP guests

4. Financial Control

  • Control service-related costs and minimize wastage
  • Monitor sales performance and prepare revenue reports
  • Assist in budgeting, pricing, and cost control strategies

5. Hygiene & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
  • Enforce health and safety regulations in all service areas
  • Conduct regular inspections of service outlets

6. Inventory & Equipment

  • Monitor service equipment, glassware, and linen usage
  • Coordinate inventory control with stores and purchasing
  • Ensure proper maintenance of service areas and equipment

7. Coordination & Planning

  • Coordinate banquets, events, and special functions
  • Work closely with marketing for promotions and special offers
  • Attend departmental meetings and contribute to operational planning

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in Hotel Management or Hospitality
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of food, beverages, wines, and service styles
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple outlets
  • Good financial and organizational skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
