• Trend & Performance Research:

  Conduct comprehensive research on global and local sportswear trends, performance fabric innovations, color forecasts, and competitor analysis. Identify opportunities to integrate these insights into CHKOKKO's brand identity and product offerings.

• Concept Development:

  Translate research and brand vision into original and compelling design concepts for new sportswear collections across various categories (e.g., activewear, gym wear, running, training, athleisure). Develop mood boards, color palettes, and initial sketches that capture the collection's essence.

• Design & Technical Illustration:

  Create detailed fashion illustrations and precise technical drawings (flats) using CAD software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop). Ensure designs accurately convey construction details, fit, and aesthetic.

• Fabric & Trim Sourcing:

  Source and select high-performance fabrics, trims, hardware, and embellishments that meet CHKOKKO's quality standards, functional requirements (e.g., moisture-wicking, breathability, stretch), and design aesthetic. Collaborate with suppliers to develop custom materials where necessary.

• Fit & Prototype Management:

  Collaborate closely with pattern makers and sample room teams to develop initial prototypes. Oversee fittings, provide clear feedback for adjustments, and ensure optimal fit, comfort, and range of motion for active wearers.

• Technical Specifications & Tech Packs:

  Develop detailed tech packs for each garment, including Bill of Materials (BOMs), construction details, measurement specs, grading, print/embroidery placement, and trim instructions, ensuring seamless communication with manufacturing partners.

• Production Collaboration:

  Work in tandem with merchandising, product development, and production teams to ensure designs are technically feasible, cost-effective, and meet production timelines and quality benchmarks.

• Athlete & Consumer Insights:

  Gather insights from athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and our target consumers to inform design decisions and ensure products meet real-world performance needs.

• Quality Assurance:

  Maintain a strong understanding of garment construction, testing protocols, and quality control standards specific to sportswear, ensuring all designs translate into durable, high-performance finished products.

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of proven experience as a Fashion Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing sportswear, activewear, or technical apparel designs. Experience with men's and women's collections is a plus.
• Deep understanding of performance fabrics, their properties, and applications in sportswear.
• Proficiency in fashion design software, including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other relevant CAD programs.
• Strong technical sketching and illustration skills (both hand and digital).
• In-depth knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, and grading principles for athletic wear.
• Exceptional eye for detail, color, proportion, and emerging sportswear aesthetics.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• A genuine passion for sports, fitness, and an active lifestyle.
• Knowledge of the Indian sportswear market and consumer preferences is highly desirable.
