Job Description

Role Summary The Production Supervisor will be responsible for daily production execution, ensuring output is completed as per plan with the right quality and timelines. The role includes production planning support, material requirement coordination, stock & WIP control, and GRN/documentation discipline. Key Responsibilities 1) Daily Production SupervisionManage day-to-day production activities and ensure targets are met. Allocate manpower, monitor productivity, and maintain smooth floor operations. Ensure adherence to SOPs, process discipline, and housekeeping standards. Track daily output, losses, and downtime; take corrective actions as needed. 2) Production Planning SupportAssist in preparing and executing daily/weekly production plans. Coordinate with Stores/Purchase to ensure timely availability of materials. Maintain daily production reporting (plan vs actual, manpower, issues). 3) Material Requirement & Consumption ControlPrepare material requirement based on production plan (RM/PM). Ensure correct material issue for production and track consumption. Control wastage, monitor variances, and report shortages in advance. 4) Stock Keeping & Inventory ControlMaintain stock records for Raw Material, Packaging Material, WIP and Finished Goods. Ensure proper inward, issue, return, and transfer entries. Ensure FIFO/FEFO where applicable and proper labeling/storage practices. Support cycle counts and monthly stock audits; ensure stock accuracy. 5) GRN Maintenance & Inward CoordinationCoordinate inward receipt and ensure GRNs are updated accurately. Verify received quantity, batch/lot details, and condition of materials. Maintain inward/GRN documentation and support invoice/PO reconciliation. Report shortages/damages/mismatches immediately for resolution. 6) Basic Quality & Compliance SupportEnsure in-process checks are followed as per defined standards. Segregate rejections, support rework, and maintain rejection records. Ensure safe handling practices and compliance with internal guidelines. Skills & CompetenciesStrong shopfloor control and people handling Planning + coordination skills Strong documentation and reporting discipline Basic Excel knowledge (stock sheets, reports) Problem-solving, speed, and ownership mindset Qualification & Experience Diploma / Graduate (Production/Operations preferred) 2–5 years experience in a manufacturing/production environment Experience in inventory, stock registers, GRN and production reporting preferred Key KPIsDaily production target achievement Material variance and wastage control Stock accuracy (physical vs records) GRN accuracy and timeliness Rejection/rework control Downtime reduction and productivity improvement
