About the Role

Quality Control Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1. Documentation & Records Management

  • Maintain all QC documents for the complete project, including certificates, calibration reports, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports, site instruction/observation reports, material delivery records, and other key QC documents.
  • Maintain a comprehensive hard copy and soft copy archive of all project documents such as PICs, MOMs of KOM, signed-off structural calculations, approved drawings, MTOs, etc.

2. Material & Production Quality Review

  • Review the quality of materials under production at the factory or job-work facilities, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with Production & Design teams to understand work orders and ensure correct usage of QC checklists.
  • Verify the quality of purchased and outsourced materials in coordination with Purchase, Production, and Projects teams.

3. Storage, Handling & Equipment Maintenance

  • Ensure proper storage of all semi-finished and finished goods at factory and project sites to prevent damage.
  • Ensure regular maintenance of all machinery and equipment (factory & site), and coordinate repairs while ensuring proper execution of maintenance processes.

4. Process Compliance & Site Inspections

  • Work with the Projects Department to prepare Method Statements, coordinate with clients for approvals, and implement required actions until final approval is obtained.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that work complies with Method Statements, proper sequence of work, and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate with the Project team on all quality matters.

5. Training & Improvement

  • Train site and factory workmen, along with Supervisors, on relevant quality standards and corrective actions.
  • Provide guidance on recurring mistakes and methods for improvement.

6. Property Maintenance & Reporting

  • Monitor the maintenance of all company property and escalate issues immediately to HRA & Production departments via email.
  • Follow up and stay involved until the issue is fully resolved.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in Quality Control within manufacturing, fabrication, or construction environments.
  • Strong knowledge of QC tools, quality standards, and inspection procedures.
  • Experience in project documentation and method statement preparation.
  • Good coordination and communication skills (cross-departmental & client-facing).
  • Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and strong organisational skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in aluminum, metal fabrication, façade, or similar industries.
  • Knowledge of ISO procedures and standard QC practices.
  • Ability to train junior staff and workmen effectively.
