Job Summary:This role will be responsible for planning, coordination & execution of fabrication process of the plant. The roleinvolves managing the fabrication team, achieving the production deadline & ensuring high quality output.This individual should be well-versed with all major steel fabrication operations to further develop company'spresent capabilities, being familiar with all aspects of steel fabrication factory management including manpower& material planning, process optimization and adoption of industry best practicesC. ResponsibilitiesFabrication process management, planning & execution Manage the overall steel fabrication operations at the factory by offering technical and commercialleadership to perform as a Profit Centre Monitor and control costs as per the approved budget to achieve profitability targets Achieve monthly production targets and meet the delivery requirements of various project sites andestablish productivity norms for various processes to monitor productivity. Propose improvement for enhancing current production processes, controlling wastes, minimizingreworks & defects, and maintaining high quality standards as demanded by the clients Ensure equipment is maintained in good condition and proactively collaborate with the maintenanceteam on areas of concern Minimum downtime in the fabrication process. Need adequate knowledge on blasting & painting processOperations Management, Reports & MIS Reporting daily/weekly/monthly production plan with the Plant head. Establishing SoPs for all the fabrication related activities. Develop production schedule and ensure implementation of the same on the shop floor.Quality Control & Safety Norms Coordinate with QA & QC department in assessing the quality issues, conducting root-cause analysis andimplement preventive and corrective actions Conduct quality check & maintain quality documentation related to production Oversee fabrication process; ensure adherence to design specifications & quality standards. Implement Safety Policies of the company and provide safety training for all team members to ensure allorganization policies, rules and regulations are strictly followed and ensure all employees are working ina safe environment Identify and manage the resolution of bottlenecks, stock issues, machine maintenance requirementsTeam Management Train the Workmen / Supervisors to deliver production tasks Prepare the team for all the fabrication process, to ensure no breakdown of production happens due toabsenteeism Regularly evaluate the performance of the team members and provide opportunities for training &developmentD. Skills Technical drawing interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Adequate knowledge of below-mentioned areas:1. Plate Cutting: Cut, bend, shape, and weld metal2. Welding3. Material Handling4. Fabrication set-up Machine operation: Operate computer-controlled equipment, rollers, presses, chains, cranes, and hoists Assembly: Assemble parts into a structure using welding, bolts, and rivets Finishing: Use tools like grinders and polishers to smooth the surface of the assembly Adequate knowledge on CADE. Preferred Qualification & Experience● Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering● 5 to 10 years of Fabrication Experience in heavy precise fabrication, along with experience in managinga team of workers, supervisors, etc.F.
