Job Description

As an Export & Import Operations Manager for CRGO products, your responsibilities will include: - Managing and overseeing the entire process of export and import for CRGO products, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with international shipping regulations. - Ensuring that all shipments comply with international trade laws and regulations, including customs documentation, tariffs, taxes, and import/export permits. - Collaborating with freight forwarders, shipping companies, and customs brokers to arrange transportation, handling, and storage of CRGO products. - Overseeing the preparation and management of all export and import documentation, such as bills of lading, commercial invoices, certificates of origin, packing lists, and other customs paperwork. - Working with procurement, production, and sales teams to optimize the supply chain, reduce lead times, and minimize costs associated with international trade. - Managing relationships with international suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners, negotiating favorable terms and resolving any issues that may arise. - Identifying potential risks in the import/export process and implementing strategies to mitigate those risks. - Working with the inventory and warehouse teams to ensure proper tracking and management of goods in transit. - Staying informed of market trends, changes in trade regulations, and emerging opportunities in international markets. - Providing regular reports to senior management regarding the status of export/import activities and tracking performance metrics. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. A Masters degree or relevant certifications is a plus. - Minimum of 7 years of experience in export-import management, logistics, or supply chain management, ideally within the manufacturing or steel industry. - Strong understanding of global trade processes, international shipping, and customs regulations. - Extensive knowledge of international trade laws, customs compliance, tariffs, and export/import documentation. - Strong understanding of logistics, freight forwarding, and transportation management, particularly in international shipping. - Proven ability to negotiate contracts and terms with international vendors, suppliers, and shipping companies. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and high attention to detail. In this role, you can expect a full-time position, office-based with potential travel to vendor or supplier locations. Some travel may be required to attend meetings, resolve issues, or manage logistics. The compensation includes a competitive salary based on experience, along with benefits such as healthcare, retirement plan, and paid time off. This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule, and the work location is in person.
