As the DGM- CPG & Retail at our Mumbai location, your primary focus will be to drive business growth and develop strategic partnerships within the CPG & Retail sector. You will be responsible for identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities, expanding the client base, and establishing DP World as a preferred partner in the industry. Your key responsibilities will include leading the deployment of sub-sector sales strategies and enabling tactics with a team of Business Development Executives to achieve revenue targets. Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, understanding their business objectives, challenges, and pain points will be essential. You will provide customized logistics solutions that meet specific requirements, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention. Collaboration with internal teams such as operations, finance, marketing, and customer service will be crucial to ensure seamless execution of business development strategies. You will lead customer meetings to deliver exceptional experiences and exceed client expectations. Driving the team to ensure CRM compliance and effectiveness, assisting the marketing team in designing customer surveys, and working with account managers to develop long-term account plans within the sector will also be part of your role. People management and diversity are important aspects of this position. You will be responsible for developing a high-performance service culture, setting OKRs with team members, and providing constructive feedback. Identifying training needs, coaching team members, and recognizing exceptional talent will be part of your responsibilities. To qualify for this role, you should have a proven track record in the logistics industry with at least 10 years of experience in India. Sales and key account experience, particularly in developing and growing new key accounts within the CPG & Retail sector, will be preferred. Relevant logistics expertise within the identified sub-sectors, such as CPG & Retail, is essential. Experience across the entire logistics value chain, including Express, FTL transportation, warehousing, and value-added services, will be beneficial. You will be working closely with all business and functional verticals internally, as well as with customers and major competitors externally. A post-graduation degree in Marketing/Sales or Logistics/Supply Chain is required, with relevant certifications in logistics expertise within the CPG & Retail sectors being preferred. With a minimum of 10 years of overall experience and 7-10 years of experience in the logistics industry, you are expected to lead the development and delivery of sales personnel in a service industry.,
