Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Control (QC)
  • Conduct routine analysis of raw materials, packaging materials, in-process, and finished products.
  • Ensure all products meet the specified quality parameters before release.
  • Maintain sampling protocols and conduct sensory evaluations where required.
  • In-Process Quality Control (IPQC)
  • Monitor critical control points (CCPs) during production.
  • Conduct real-time process checks to ensure adherence to product quality standards.
  • Identify and report process deviations and assist in root cause analysis.
  • Maintain and update QC and IPQC records as per SOPs.
  • Documentation & Compliance
  • Prepare and maintain documentation and records for internal, external, and third-party audits.
  • Ensure documentation complies with FSSAI, HACCP, ISO 22000, and other regulatory standards.
  • Support the development and review of SOPs and quality manuals.
  • Assist in internal and external audits, including documentation and CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions).
  • Coordination & Reporting
  • Coordinate with production, QA, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Prepare and submit daily/weekly QC reports to the QC Manager.
  • Audits (Regulatory / Customer / Certification Bodies)
  • Participate actively in audits conducted by regulatory bodies (FSSAI), customers, and certification bodies (e.g., BRC, ISO, FSSC).
  • Coordinate with departments to ensure audit readiness and timely closure of non-conformities.
  • Assist in implementation and monitoring of CAPA post-audit.
  • Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to local and national food safety regulations (FSSAI, Legal Metrology, etc.).
  • Stay updated with changes in food safety and quality regulations and recommend necessary changes in internal processes.
  • Coordinate product registration, label review, and regulatory submissions when required.
  • Support traceability and recall procedures as per regulatory and company guidelines.
