Executive Housekeeper

As the Housekeeping Manager at our company, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the daily shift operations of Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club, and Laundry departments. You will work closely with employees to ensure that guestrooms, public spaces, and employee areas are clean and well-maintained. Your role will involve completing inspections, holding staff accountable for corrective action, and assisting in maintaining guest and employee satisfaction within the operating budget. Your qualifications for this position include a high school diploma or GED, along with 2 years of experience in housekeeping or a related professional area. Alternatively, a 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major from an accredited university will also be considered, with no work experience required. Key Responsibilities: - Communicate guest room status promptly to the Front Desk - Coordinate with the Engineering department for guestroom maintenance needs - Supervise the general cleaning schedule of the property - Prepare work assignments for cleaning staff based on room status - Monitor and manage inventory to ensure an adequate supply of cleaning materials - Supervise daily Housekeeping shift operations and ensure compliance with standards - Assist in ordering guestroom supplies, cleaning materials, and uniforms - Implement and supervise an effective inspection program for guestrooms and public spaces - Address areas needing attention and ensure staff comprehension - Ensure all employees have necessary supplies, equipment, and uniforms Qualifications Required: - High school diploma or GED with 2 years of relevant experience - OR a 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management or related field In addition to the above responsibilities and qualifications, as part of our commitment to diversity and inclusion, Marriott International is an equal opportunity employer.
