Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Executive Engineer to manage Utility & Maintenance operations at our pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in pharmaceutical utilities, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and a solid understanding of WHO-GMP, EU-GMP, and USFDA regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations and preventive & breakdown maintenance of pharmaceutical utilities, including:
• HVAC systems
• Water systems (WTP, RO, DM, Softener, ETP, STP)
• Compressed air systems
• Boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and DG sets
• Ensure compliance with GMP guidelines and regulatory standards (WHO-GMP, EU-GMP, USFDA)
• Implement, monitor, and continuously improve preventive maintenance schedules
• Maintain and review QMS documentation, including SOPs, logbooks, checklists, deviations, and change controls
• Coordinate with Production, QA, EHS, and Engineering teams to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations
• Support installation, qualification, and validation of utility systems and equipment
• Monitor energy consumption and implement cost optimization initiatives
• Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions
• Lead, guide, and mentor junior engineers and technicians
• Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits and inspections
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 4–6 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical utilities & maintenance
• Experience in OSD formulation facilities will be an added advantage
• Hands-on exposure to utility equipment in regulated pharma environments
  

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, water systems, and pharmaceutical utilities
• Good understanding of GMP and QMS documentation
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Strong communication, coordination, and leadership abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and regulated environment
