Job Description:

Executive Cost Manager - Civil (Post -Contract)

Mumbai

Responsibilities:

• Experience of post-contract services, interim applications, change management, variation valuation and extension of time claims.
• Detailed experience of working with standard form contracts, FIDIC preferred, and administration of contract procedures.
• Demonstrable experience in client-facing roles, professional approach and confidence in presenting to clients, other consultants and project stakeholders.
• Demonstrable experience in dealing with contractor's personnel with confidence and assurance.
• Report writing, Estimate reports, Cost reports, Procurement reports and Tender reports.
• Managing the procurement process, ensuring that all stages including pre-qualification, enquiry, analysis, selection and contract preparation are performed effectively
• Ensuring that post-contract cost variances and change control processes are managed effectively
• Ensuring that cost checking and valuation work is managed effectively
• Ensuring the production of monthly post-contract cost reports and presenting them to the client
• Value engineering and life cycle costing
• Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed

Skills Required:

• Prior experience of handling Residential, high-rise, commercial projects is required and candidates with Residential project exposure will be preferred.
• Preferably should know background working on CostX
• Good knowledge of all methods of construction and procurement.
• Experienced with or managing team that uses multiple estimating tools and applications.

Qualifications Required:

• Education - B.E/B.Tech - Civil
• Post Graduate Qualification in a relevant field would be an added advantage
• Better candiadate has relevant experience of working for a construction consultancy
• 15-18 years of post-qualification experience in a similar role
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
