Core Responsibilities Manage the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of the building, ensuring it functions efficiently and safely for occupants. This includes managing maintenance and repair projects, supervising staff, coordinating with vendors, and resolving tenant issues. Building managers also ensure compliance with regulations and standards. Key Responsibilities: Maintenance and Repair: Oversee routine maintenance, coordinate repairs, and manage projects to ensure the building's structural integrity and functionality. Safety and Security: Implement and maintain safety protocols, including fire safety, emergency procedures, and security systems. Supervision and Staff Management: Supervise maintenance staff, custodians, and other related teams, ensuring efficient workflow and performance. Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for maintenance, repairs, and other operational expenses. Tenant Relations: Address tenant concerns, resolve issues, and ensure a positive living or working environment. Compliance and Regulations: Ensure the building complies with relevant safety regulations, building codes, and other industry standards. Record Keeping: Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, expenses, and tenant interactions. Communication: Communicate effectively with tenants, staff, contractors, and other stakeholders. Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies, coordinating with appropriate authorities and ensuring occupant safety. Surveillance: Monitor surveillance equipment, such as CCTV cameras, to detect any unusual activity and respond accordingly. Estate Manager Requirements:GED or high school diploma required. At least 3 years of experience as a building manager or in a similar role. Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and building codes. Excellent project management and negotiation skills. Good communication and customer service skills. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
