PEGA Manual Tester
Job Summary:
The Associate QA Analyst supports manual testing activities across Pega and traditional systems. You’ll be hands-on in test execution, defect tracking, and data validation—while learning to optimize QA coverage in agile sprints. Ideal for candidates eager to grow into hybrid testing roles and deepen their platform-specific expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and execute manual test scenarios for Pega workflows and UI validations
- Collaborate in sprint ceremonies and align coverage with QA leads and dev teams
- Log and verify defects with thorough documentation in JIRA or Confluence
- Conduct backend validations using SQL scripts and predefined datasets
- Help generate status updates and QA dashboards for weekly reviews
- Participate in review sessions and apply feedback to refine test designs
- Support regression and smoke testing cycles with reusable test assets
- Learn basic automation practices to assist in hybrid test planning
- Contribute to impact analysis during patch reviews and change request assessments
Qualifications And Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or equivalent
- 2–3 years of manual testing experience with exposure to Pega PRPC modules
- Understanding of QA processes, Agile practices, and defect management
- Ability to write and optimize manual test cases using functional specifications
- Familiarity with basic SQL and REST API validations
- Good communication and documentation skills to coordinate across teams
Nice To Have
- Pega CSA certification or project exposure
- ISTQB Foundation or beginner test certification
- Knowledge of automation tools or scripting (Java, Python)
- Experience with performance/API tools like Postman, JMeter
- Domain exposure in BFSI, insurance, or service delivery platforms
