Position Summary: The Head of Technology for the Emergency Response Centre (ERC) is responsible for developing and leading the ERCs technology strategy, ensuring that systems, infrastructure, and digital tools enable seamless 24/7 emergency operations. This leadership role demands expertise in IT systems, emergency communications, and cybersecurity to support life-saving services across Maharashtra. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement the ERCs comprehensive technology roadmap aligned withoperational goals. Lead a skilled IT team, promoting continuous improvement and innovation inemergency technology. Foster collaboration with internal departments and external emergency agencies forintegrated response capabilities. Manage IT budget, optimize technology spend, and secure funding for modernizationprojects. Educational Qualification: Masters in IT/Computer Science or equivalent. 12-15 years in IT leadership. Certifications such as ITIL Foundation or intermediate, PMP,CISSP Preferred. Skills Required: Must-Have Skills: Deep knowledge of communication infrastructure (VOIP, CAD, etc.) and datasystems in public safety. Expertise in cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory compliance. Excellent leadership, people management, and stakeholder communication. Experience in IT disaster recovery and business continuity. Strong project management capabilities. Good-to-Have Skills : Familiarity with emergency dispatch regulations (e.g., NENA standards). Experience working with government or health-tech infrastructure. Ability to lead cross-functional technology transformation projects. Personal Attributes: Strategic thinker with hands-on implementation ability. High-pressure performer with resilience and calm during emergencies. Strong collaborator, negotiator, and decision-maker. Curious, adaptive, and passionate about public service technology.
