About the Role- Equity Research Analyst

Roles and Responsibilities

• Looking for a diligent and detail-oriented equity research analyst to join our team who likes to read annual reports and points holes in P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis on publicly traded companies, industries, and market trends to provide actionable investment recommendations which will be published as articles, and insights on economictimes.com.
• This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills and writing skills and a deep understanding of stock markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on companies, including financial modeling, valuation, and industry analysis.
• Monitor and analyze financial news, market trends, and company performance.
• Collaborate with other research analysts and team members to provide holistic insights on a sector.
• Maintain and update financial databases and models.
• Work with the tech team to make products which investors and traders can use to enhance their return in investments in real world conditions.

Qualifications:

• Chartered Accountant, MBA ( Finance) from a premier management school.
• Preferably 1 to 3 years of experience of working in a broking or research house.
• Freshers with exceptional track record and ability to think analytically and ahead of time and wish to make a career in equity research may also apply.

Additional skills:

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg, Reuters, ACE and other financial software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High attention to detail, accuracy and integrity as you will be dealing with the confidence of investors with our brand. Who should not apply: Anyone looking for a role from 9 AM to 5 PM.
