Job Description

Civil Construction Manager – Solar EPC


Role Overview

Civil Construction Manager

leadership, technical expertise, and stakeholder coordination


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and oversee all

    civil construction activities

    at solar project sites.
  • Manage

    site preparation, grading, excavation, drainage, and foundation works

    .
  • Supervise construction of

    roads, boundary fencing, and structural concrete works

    .
  • Ensure civil works are executed as per

    approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards

    .
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams.
  • Monitor

    progress, budget, and resource utilization

    , reporting deviations proactively.
  • Implement and enforce

    HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) policies

    at site.
  • Manage subcontractors and vendors, ensuring timely and quality deliverables.
  • Resolve technical challenges and provide engineering support during execution.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in

    Civil Engineering

    (Master’s preferred).

  • 7–12 years

    of experience in civil construction, with at least

    3–5 years in solar/renewable projects

    .
  • Strong knowledge of

    structural foundations, geotechnical aspects, and site development

    .
  • Proven experience in

    managing subcontractors and large construction teams

    .
  • Familiarity with

    civil design standards, IS/IEC codes, and QA/QC practices

    .
  • Proficiency in

    MS Project / Primavera, AutoCAD, and MS Office

    .
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work at remote project sites.
