Cairn Oil & Gas, a Vedanta Company, India’s largest private oil and gas producer, is looking to hire an Environment Manager at its S'Yanan (Andhra Pradesh). The Incumbent will be responsible to lead and manage all environmental aspects of operations at the coastal oil & gas site, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, corporate sustainability goals, and environmental best practices. The role focuses on minimizing ecological impact, achieving Net Zero targets, and maintaining operational excellence in environmental performance.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance:

• Obtain and maintain statutory approvals (Environmental Clearance, Consent to Establish/Operate, CRZ clearance).
• Ensure compliance with

  MoEFCC

  ,

  State Pollution Control Board

  , and other regulatory bodies.

Environmental Management:

• Develop and implement site-specific

  Environmental Management Plans (EMP)

  .
• Monitor air, water, soil quality and manage effluent treatment, sewage treatment, and waste disposal (hazardous & non-hazardous).
• Oversee biodiversity conservation and coastal ecosystem protection initiatives.

Sustainability & Reporting:

• Drive

  Net Zero 2030

  initiatives and methane emission reduction programs.
• Prepare sustainability reports (GRI, ESG) and environmental performance dashboards.

Risk Assessment & Audits:

• Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIA) and audits.
• Implement corrective actions for non-compliance and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Liaise with statutory agencies, local communities, and internal teams for environmental matters.
• Represent the company in regulatory inspections and public hearings.

Training & Awareness:

• Conduct training for employees and contractors on environmental practices and emergency response.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education:

  M.Tech / B.Tech in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science.

• Experience:

  10+ years in Oil & Gas or heavy industry environmental management.
• Hands-on experience with CRZ norms, coastal ecology, and offshore/onshore environmental compliance.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of
