About Placera

Placera is a student-focused job and internship platform building a bridge between students, startups, and companies in India’s Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. We host events, create opportunities, and run a rigorous screening process to help students kickstart their careers while enabling companies to discover untapped talent.

The Role

As an EIR, you will be responsible for driving student sign-ups, company partnerships, and event execution in Surat. You will work directly with the founder and take charge of building Placera’s presence on the ground.

Responsibilities

• Lead outreach to student groups, startups, SMEs, and universities in Surat.
• Drive sign-ups for students and companies on Placera.
• Manage and execute Placera events (case competitions, markets, hackathons, etc.) locally.
• Represent Placera in networking spaces, startup communities, and with incubators.
• Share weekly progress updates and work asynchronously where needed.

Incentives & Equity Structure

Commission: Earn % on every company onboarded, sponsorship closed, or student stall/event participation fee collected.

Equity Path:

• Initial 2-month trial agreement.
• If you achieve agreed targets (X companies + Y students signed on), you unlock 1–2% equity in Placera.
• Continued strong performance leads to larger long-term leadership opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

• Based in Surat or deeply connected to its student/startup ecosystem.
• Hustler mindset: resourceful, self-driven, and not afraid to get things done.
• Strong communication and persuasion skills.
• Previous experience with student clubs, events, startups, or sales is a plus.
• Entrepreneurial spirit — you’re not looking for just a job, but a chance to build.
