Role Summary: As an Entrepreneur in Residence, you will wear multiple hats, blending IT project management with go-to-market (GTM) sales strategies. This is a high-impact role where you'll lead the development and launch of our software product, manage cross-functional teams, and spearhead sales efforts to acquire clients in the steel ecosystem. Ideal for ambitious professionals from top management or technology institutes looking to build and scale a product in a niche B2B market. Key Responsibilities: Project Management (IT Focus): Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of software development projects, including requirements gathering, agile/scrum methodologies, timeline management, and quality assurance for our steel-industry software. Coordinate with engineering teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of features like AI-driven analytics, IoT integration for steel processes, and cloud-based deployments. Identify risks, manage budgets, and implement tools (e.g., Jira, Asana) for efficient project tracking. Conduct user testing and iterate based on feedback from steel industry clients. Go-to-Market (GTM) Sales: Develop and execute GTM strategies, including market research, positioning, pricing models, and launch plans for the software product. Build and nurture a sales pipeline targeting steel manufacturers, suppliers, and related enterprises through outbound sales, demos, and partnerships. Create marketing collateral, pitch decks, and case studies highlighting ROI for steel-specific use cases (e.g., reducing downtime in mills or optimizing raw material procurement). Achieve sales targets by closing deals, negotiating contracts, and fostering long-term client relationships. Analyze market trends in the steel sector to refine product-market fit and expansion opportunities. Entrepreneurial Contributions: Act as an internal entrepreneur: Identify growth opportunities, propose new features, and contribute to fundraising or scaling efforts.
