You will be playing a prominent role in providing system engineering solutions. You will be involved in engineering activities to built/provide reliable, scalable and highly available software systems and infrastructure. You will focus on developing automated self-healing solutions, IaC, capacity planning, performance optimization, continuous improvement to make the application more resilient. The role also requires to focus on the ELK stack to emphasize the design, implementation and maintenance of log management, search solutions using Elasticsearch, Logging and Kibana. What we’re looking for... Optimize data pipelines, troubleshooting issues to ensure system reliability and scalability Designing, developing, and maintaining ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) solutions for log management, monitoring, and search Building and maintaining dashboards, alerts, and other observability tools to gain insights into system performance and identify potential issues Tuning Elasticsearch indexing and storage to optimize system performance and ensure scalability. Diagnosing and resolving issues related to the ELK Stack, data pipelines, and system performance Work closely with development, operations, and other engineering teams to ensure system reliability and availability. Coordinating with multiple stakeholders for onboarding new application into ELK stack Troubleshooting critical issues and performing root cause analysis Performing stack upgrades as part of maintaining security standards Providing technical recommendations to improve stack performance Remediating product vulnerabilities and stay security compliant Guiding and supporting fellow team members to ensure tasks / activities / projects are tracked and completed on time You’ll need to have: Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience. Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience. Strong understanding of Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills. Good experience with data pipeline tools like Fluentbit, Logstash, MSK etc Strong scripting languages like Python, Shell etc. Experience in Ansible, Jenkins, Cloud formation template as part of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) Good experience in AWS cloud (Opensearch, MSK, EC2, ELB, Auto Scaling Cloud Formation template, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, etc..) Even better if you have one or more of the following: Good experience in technologies including but not limited to Weblogic, Apache HTTPD, Apache Tomcat, Java, etc. If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.
