What You'll Do

You will:

  • Plan child-centric learning experiences aligned with our pedagogy
  • Design lessons, games, and provocations that make children wonder, connect, and explore
  • Facilitate immersive sessions with openness to children's ideas and feedback
  • Reflect, document, and co-learn from children's observations
  • Collaborate across disciplines to deliver connected, purpose-based learning
  • Communicate with parents regularly as learning partners
  • Innovate and iterate—because no plan is ever perfect, and every child is different
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and reflection cycles


What We're Looking For

  • Qualifications

    : Graduate/Postgraduate in any discipline (B.Ed optional but valuable if paired with mindset and skills)
  • Experience

    : 3–5 years working with children or in creative/educational fields


English Language Arts

  • Deep understanding of language acquisition, comprehension, and expression
  • Ability to guide students in reading deeply, writing purposefully, and speaking confidently
  • Experience designing reading journeys, author studies, creative writing provocations, and literature circles
  • Comfort with integrating vocabulary, grammar, and structure meaningfully not in isolation

Strong Foundation in Language & Literature
  • Deep understanding of language acquisition, reading development, and writing instruction
  • Command over grammar, structure, and vocabulary in ways that are

Reading as Exploration, Not Extraction
  • Build love for reading through

    carefully curated journeys

    —across fiction, non-fiction, poetry, plays, and global voices
  • Design provocations that help students analyze, reflect, and debate meaning
  • Use

    reading circles, read-alouds, literature maps

    , and theme-driven discussions to scaffold comprehension and empathy


Writing with Voice and Purpose
  • Encourage original thought through journaling, creative writing, argumentation, essays, and multimedia storytelling
  • Teach structure and grammar as tools that

    empower clarity and creativity

  • Support children in crafting

    authorial voice

    —not just error-free sentences


Speaking & Listening as Core Literacies
  • Build student confidence to express ideas through

    spoken word, speeches, drama, and dialogue

  • Foster respectful, reflective discussions that build communication and empathy
  • Integrate peer feedback, Socratic seminars, and improv to build real-time thinking and listening skills


Culturally Rooted, Globally Fluent
  • Bring in authors and contexts from diverse geographies, time periods, and identities
  • Enable children to

    connect stories to their lives

    , their cultures, and the world’s questions
  • Use English to open windows—not to erase children’s voices, languages, or identities


Bonus:
  • Background in literature, journalism, linguistics, storytelling, or communication
  • Experience in curriculum design, creative writing facilitation, or drama/theatre
  • Familiarity with Cambridge or IGCSE English curriculum is a plus, but not mandatory
  • Comfort with digital tools for publishing, editing, or podcasting
  • Strong written & spoken communication
  • Creativity, collaboration, and self-leadership
  • Tech fluency (Word, PPT, Excel)
