Engineer - Wood Production

Job Role:

The Production Engineer will be responsible for managing wood and UPVC production operations, ensuring timely manufacturing, quality control, machine handling and coordination with teams to support smooth and efficient production processes.
Key Responsibilities

1. Production Management

• Plan and execute daily production targets for wood products and UPVC windows/doors.
• Manage end-to-end production flow from cutting → machining → assembly → finishing.
• Ensure production schedules are met with optimal manpower utilization.

2. Machine Handling & Operations

• Panel saw / Beam saw
• CNC Wood Router
• MDF gluing machine / Press
• Hand tools (drills, nailers, sanders, edge tools)
• UPVC cutting machines, welding machines, corner cleaning machines
• Glass fixing and hardware assembly for UPVC windows

3. Quality Control

· Ensure quality standards for wood panels, MDF, laminates and UPVC profiles.

· Check dimensional accuracy, surface finish, bonding strength and alignment.

· Inspect UPVC welding joints, hardware fitting and smooth operation of windows.

4. Material & Inventory Control

• Manage raw materials: MDF sheets, laminates, adhesives, screws, UPVC profiles, glass, hardware.
• Optimize material usage to reduce wastage and improve yield.
• Coordinate with stores for stock availability and planning.

5. Team Management

• Handle machine operators, helpers, assemblers and supervisors.
• Train team on machine safety, quality standards and process efficiency.
• Ensure discipline, productivity, and safe working practices.

6. Coordination & Documentation

• Coordinate with design/CAD team for drawings and cutting plans.
• Work closely with QC and dispatch teams for final inspection.
• Maintain daily production reports and efficiency records.

Candidate Profile

• Strong knowledge of wood production and UPVC window manufacturing processes.
• Experience in CNC operations, gluing, assembly and finishing.
• Ability to lead production independently and manage full shifts.
• Problem-solving mindset with focus on quality and timelines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
