The job title for the position to be filled is Assistant Director/Manager - Sector SME - Energy within the GDS CS Operations function. As an Assistant Director/Manager, you will report to Aneesh Varghese, Associate Director, and be a part of a program designed to support GDS Client Services by leveraging sector expertise in the Energy industry, particularly for the MENA region. In this role, your responsibilities will include conducting research and developing sector intelligence deliverables for Energy practitioners, designing insights-powered solutions for senior leaders, supporting Energy accounts under the GDS Account Centricity Program, and building and engaging a community of Energy practitioners across GDS centers. You will be expected to provide research, analysis, and insights support for key Energy pursuits in the MENA region, curate a knowledge management repository of relevant material, and identify opportunities to share points of view with EY MENA leaders and clients. Additionally, you will be involved in program management activities such as governance operations, reporting, and account team coordination. To excel in this role, you should possess strong analytical and decision-making skills, including the ability to synthesize information, provide actionable insights, and understand business drivers in the Energy sector. Proficiency in communication, quantitative analysis, MS Office tools, and data visualization tools is essential. Prior experience in client-facing roles, particularly in the Energy sector, is required, along with a postgraduate degree and relevant industry certifications. Your industry knowledge should include an understanding of emerging trends, key performance indicators, and market dynamics in the Energy sector, especially in the MENA region. Flexibility in working hours and the ability to work in a global, cross-border environment are important for this role.
