Job Title: Electrician / Senior Electrician

Department: Electrical – Rolling Mill Unit

Location: Industrial Growth Centre, Industrial Road, Phase II Siltara, Sondra, Chhattisgarh

Reports To: Electrical Head / Electrical Manager

Job Summary: Responsible for carrying out installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment and control systems in the Rolling Mill section of the steel plant. Ensures minimal downtime, adherence to safety protocols, and optimal equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities:Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, motors, drives, sensors, and automation panels.
• Troubleshoot faults in control systems including PLCs, MCCs, VFDs, and relay-based systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical issues in rolling mill equipment (e.g., main drives, pinch rolls, shears, coilers, etc.).

Installation & Commissioning:

• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment and control systems.
• Connect and configure electric panels, cable trays, junction boxes, and related infrastructure.

Monitoring & Reporting:

• Monitor electrical parameters and equipment health regularly.
• Maintain maintenance logs, downtime records, and inspection checklists.

Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure all work is conducted following plant safety procedures and electrical codes.
• Identify potential safety hazards and rectify or report them immediately.

Collaboration & Supervision (Senior Role):

• Coordinate with mechanical, instrumentation, and production teams for smooth operation.
• Provide technical guidance to junior electricians and trainees.
• Participate in audits, root cause analysis (RCA), and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Electrician: ITI/Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 3–5 years of experience in rolling mills or heavy industrial environments.
• Senior Electrician: Diploma/ITI + minimum 6–10 years experience in rolling mill electrical systems.

Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of AC/DC motors, control circuits, PLC, and VFD systems (Siemens, ABB, Schneider, etc.).
• Familiar with HT/LT switchgear, transformers, and electrical protection systems.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematic diagrams.
• Working knowledge of electrical safety standards and lockout-tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

• Ability to work in a hot, noisy, and industrial environment.
• Must be willing to work in shifts (rotational), overtime, and emergency call-outs.
• Must wear appropriate PPE and comply with all EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) regulations.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month

Supplemental Pay:
