At Squareshift, we are looking for a skilled Consultant with 3 to 6 years of experience in Elasticsearch and Observability Solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and optimizing Elasticsearch-based solutions, ensuring efficient log collection, data migration, and monitoring services. This role requires hands-on expertise in Elasticsearch Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats)along with experience in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Kubernetes. The consultant will work closely with clients to implement observability solutions, develop custom pipelines, and ensure seamless integration with third-party applications.

Responsibilities

Deploy, configure, and optimize Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Beats.
Implement ILM policies, manage data retention, and configure security settings.
Performs snapshot and restore for data migration across clusters.
Deploy and configure log collection agents on multiple machines.
Design and implement custom pipelines for log processing and transformation.
Normalize log data and apply ECS mapping for structured observability.
Configure Heartbeat, APM, and RUM for system uptime and performance monitoring.
Set up synthetic monitoring and define alerting mechanisms.
Guide client teams in integrating Java APM agents and other observability tools.
Implement role-based access control (RBAC)and secure clusters.
Ensure compliance with best practices for Elasticsearch security.
Work with clients to integrate Elastic Security for threat detection and response.
Collaborate with client teams to gather requirements and provide solutions.
Deliver documentation and training sessions to ensure knowledge transfer.
Support troubleshooting and performance tuning for Elasticsearch deployments.

Requirements

3 to 6 years of experience in Elasticsearch, Observability, or Cloud Data Engineering.
Excellent communication skills are mandatory for effective client interactions and solution presentations.
Strong expertise in Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Beats.
Experience in Elastic Security, ILM, and data migration strategies.
Proficiency in cloud platforms(AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Kubernetes.
Hands-on experience in log collection, normalization, and custom pipeline development.
Strong knowledge of Linux environments, scripting, and automation.
