Role Overview: The Director, Business Growth & Education Management will be responsible for expanding and strengthening key educational and operational verticals at Ekya Schools. This role demands a visionary yet hands-on leader who can drive business growth, enhance educational impact, and optimize school operations. The Director will oversee existing teams while scaling new initiatives, ensuring alignment with Ekya Schools' vision for innovation and excellence. The role will focus on scaling and managing the below teams: Student Development & Wellbeing - Implementing programs that foster student growth, engagement, and overall well-being. Ekya Learning Centre - Driving innovation in curriculum design, teaching methodologies, and student learning experiences. Professional Development Institute (EPDI) - Scaling educator offerings and programs for internal and external stakeholders. Ekya Early Years (EEY) - Growth & Operations - Leading the scaling of new Early years centres and ensuring operational excellence in early childhood education. School Operations : Ensuring seamless execution of operational requirements across campuses. This is a high-impact role requiring a blend of vision and execution capability, working closely with teams to ensure both growth planning and day-to-day management. Key Responsibilities: 1. Business Growth & Scale - Develop and execute strategies to scale EPDI and EEY as independent business units. - Identify and leverage market opportunities, partnerships, and innovative education models to drive expansion. - Establish sustainable financial models, revenue streams, and operational frameworks to support growth. 2. Student Development & Wellbeing - Work with the Student Development team to implement initiatives that support students' emotional, social, and academic growth. - Partner with school leadership to embed well-being programs into the student experience. - Track and assess the impact of student development initiatives through data-driven insights and feedback loops. 3. Ekya Learning Centre - Collaborate with the Head, Ekya Learning Centre to drive curriculum innovation and implement high-impact teaching methodologies. - Ensure curriculum design and instructional strategies align with global best practices and evolving educational trends. - Track and measure the effectiveness of curriculum and pedagogy through data analysis, student performance metrics, and stakeholder feedback. 4. School Operations & Management - Work with the Operations team to ensure efficient execution of operational functions across campuses. - Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to optimize school administration. - Measure and refine operational efficiency by identifying gaps, tracking performance, and streamlining processes. 5. Leadership & Team Management - Provide strategic direction to the heads of teams managing these verticals. - Act as a mentor and coach, ensuring continuous capability development and leadership growth. - Foster cross-functional collaboration to enhance synergy, execution, and overall institutional efficiency. Key Skills & Competencies - Strategic leadership with strong execution capability. - Proven experience in scaling education ventures and business growth. - Ability to drive innovation in learning and operational processes. - Strong financial and operational acumen, including managing P&L for new business units. - Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to work across diverse teams. - Passion for education, innovation, and organizational growth. Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering paired with a Master's in Management from a Tier 1 institution (IIT/ISB/BITS or equivalent in India or globally). - 10+ years of experience in education management, business growth, or scaling ventures. - Experience in setting up and scaling education businesses is highly preferred. - International exposure is an advantage.
