Job Description

MichBiz Services is looking for Education Counselor to join our dynamic team and embark on a rewarding career journey

Meet with students to discuss their academic and career goals, and provide guidance and support as they make important decisions
Develop and implement programs to help students prepare for college, including college fairs, workshops, and information sessions
Assist students in the college application process, including providing guidance on test preparation, application completion, and financial aid
Evaluate transcripts and test scores to determine the eligibility of students for college admission
Provide information on colleges and universities, their programs, admission requirements, and financial aid options
Connect students with resources and support services, such as tutoring, mental health services, and career counseling
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student interactions, counseling sessions, and academic progress
Collaborate with other educators, staff, and community organizations to provide comprehensive support to students
Stay current on college admission trends and changes, and provide relevant information and guidance to students and families
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
