Ecommerce Specialist

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented E-commerce Specialist with 3–8 years of experience to join our dynamic team at HorecaStore. This role is pivotal in creating product categories and managing product catalogs for our growing range of hotel supplies, specifically kitchen equipment. The ideal candidate will help enhance our online presence, optimize product listings, and ensure a seamless and customer-friendly shopping experience.

As an E-commerce Specialist, you will collaborate closely with the E-commerce Manager, vendors, and internal teams to maintain an accurate, comprehensive, and high-quality online catalog.

Key Responsibilities
Category Creation & Management

• Develop and maintain product categories aligned with market trends and customer needs.
• Ensure all products are accurately categorized to enhance discoverability and improve the customer shopping experience.

Product Cataloging

• Add and update product listings on the e-commerce platform, ensuring product details, images, and descriptions are accurate, clear, and up-to-date.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure correct product specifications, pricing, and availability are reflected online.

Data Entry & Product Information Management

• Ensure all product information, including titles, descriptions, specifications, SKUs, and pricing, is accurately entered and maintained.
• Manage product attributes such as size, color, material, and model to optimize search, filters, and navigation.

Vendor Onboarding & Vendor Management

• Coordinate end-to-end onboarding of new vendors, ensuring timely collection of product data, images, pricing, and compliance documentation.
• Act as the primary point of contact for vendors regarding catalog requirements, product updates, pricing changes, and data accuracy.
• Ensure vendor submissions meet HorecaStore’s quality, branding, and content standards before publishing.
• Maintain strong vendor relationships to facilitate timely updates, resolve discrepancies, and support catalog expansion.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with the purchasing team to ensure new products are cataloged promptly and stock availability is accurately reflected online.
• Coordinate with marketing teams to ensure products are featured, promoted, and launched effectively.

Inventory Management

• Regularly update inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure online listings match actual stock availability.
• Assist with inventory reporting and provide insights to improve catalog structure and overall e-commerce performance.

Continuous Improvement

• Review product and category performance to identify opportunities for optimization.
• Implement customer feedback and industry best practices to improve product listings and the shopping experience.

Competitor & Market Research

• Monitor competitor assortments and market trends to keep the catalog competitive and relevant.
• Suggest new product categories, variants, or enhancements based on customer preferences and emerging trends.

Consistency & Quality Assurance

• Ensure consistency of product listings across platforms and uphold quality standards for images, content, and pricing.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in product data, images, inventory, or pricing in a timely manner.
