Job Title: E-commerce Functional Tester

Overview:

We are looking for an E-commerce Functional Tester to ensure seamless digital experiences across our online platform. This specialist will validate the functional accuracy of e-commerce modules, conduct UAT, document business flows, and uphold high standards of quality and user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform end-to-end functional testing of e-commerce modules—browsing, cart, checkout, payments, and order tracking.
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders prior to product releases.
• Identify defects, log them in detail, and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
• Validate integrations with ERP, CRM, Payment Gateways, and Logistics systems.
• Create, execute, and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and regression suites.
• Take part in release validation, smoke testing, and defect verification.

Business & Functional Analysis:

• Understand and translate business requirements into functional test cases.
• Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and develop BRDs/FSDs.
• Build testable use cases from business workflows.
• Ensure comprehensive functional coverage for different user journeys and personas.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Participate in sprint planning, product demos, and retrospectives to ensure QA readiness.
• Suggest process improvements for quality optimization.
• Support developers and analysts with validation during releases.

Reporting & Documentation:

• Prepare thorough test summary reports and defect metrics.
• Maintain traceability matrices that link requirements to test cases.
• Assist in release readiness reviews with evidence-based validation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 2–4 years of functional testing or QA experience in e-commerce platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Shopify, Salesforce, WooCommerce, Magento, or custom e-commerce systems.
• Strong knowledge of API testing, data validation, and integration workflows.
• Ability to write and manage test cases, BRDs, and UAT documentation.
• Analytical mindset with keen attention to functional detail and user experience.
