Manager-Civil Design Estimation
Location: Chennai
Employment Type: Full-time

Qualifications and Experience

Education: B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering
Experience: 8 -15 years specializing in tendering, estimation, and detailed engineering, specifically in water and wastewater treatment projects within either industrial or municipal sectors.

Key Job Summary

The role seeks a detail-oriented civil engineer responsible for preparing civil drawings, quantity estimation, and project coordination.
Prior hands-on experience in water and wastewater treatment plant projects is required.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with civil engineering codes and standards is essential.

Roles and Responsibilities

Prepare Civil General Arrangement (GA) drawings with AutoCAD.
Apply working knowledge of IS codes for civil works.
Perform basic design of RCC building structures.
Analyze tender and enquiry documents to assess civil engineering requirements.
Prepare quantity estimates for civil structures (RCC buildings, tanks, piping supports, cable trestles).
Develop civil Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on approved structural drawings.
Conduct site visits and attend technical meetings with clients/consultants.
Coordinate with site teams to resolve drawing-related queries.
Communicate effectively with project teams and provide technical support as needed.

Skills Required

Hands-on AutoCAD skills.
Knowledge of IS codes and civil engineering standards.
Ability to prepare and analyze BOQs, quantity estimations, and technical documents.

Project coordination and communication skills within multidisciplinary teams
