Distribution Manager

Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Distribution Manager to oversee our company's distribution operations. This role involves managing the storage, transportation, and delivery of goods to ensure timely and efficient distribution. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, experience in supply chain management, and a commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily operations of the distribution center, including inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping, and receiving. Develop and implement distribution strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies. Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, procurement, and sales teams to ensure smooth operations. Monitor KPIs and performance metrics; prepare reports for senior management. Manage and train distribution staff to ensure productivity and safety standards are met. Work closely with transportation providers to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective solutions. Implement and maintain safety standards and procedures. Resolve issues related to damaged goods, shipment delays, or customer complaints. Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in distribution or logistics management. Strong knowledge of supply chain and inventory management systems (e.g., WMS, ERP). Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Effective leadership and team management abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Preferred Qualifications:Certification in logistics or supply chain (e.g., APICS, CLTD). Experience in lean logistics or Six Sigma. Working Conditions:Full-time position. May require occasional travel. Work environment includes warehouse and office settings.
