Director of Product Management

The Role

As the Director of Product, you will set the strategic vision and roadmap for JoVE's products. You will be responsible for delivering best-in-class teaching and learning experiences for our users in Research and Education markets. Responsibilities

• Create a vision for the overall product strategy at JoVE and transform this vision into a prioritized new product innovation roadmap.
• Identify and socialize key customer needs and unmet growth opportunities through partnerships with Consumer Insights, UX research, or 1st and 3rd party research.
• Define and track product metrics to evaluate the success of new features and overall product performance.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform product decisions and ensure that JoVE remains the market's best research, science, and education platform.
• Bring an unstoppable passion for the customer, owning the Why behind the products JoVE delivers.
• Influence team members with innovative changes and improvements by challenging the status quo.
• Define and own product/platform delivery metrics and KPIs.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree.
• 8+ years of experience in product management, ideally across digital experiences, with
• 5+ years of experience in people leadership.
• A proven track record of building and launching successful products that have driven significant business growth.
• Knowledge, experience, and proficiency in product management standards and practices, with particular appreciation for the end-to-end product management discipline.
• Ability to triage and resolve incidents and lead incident investigations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment with a desire to roll up your sleeves.
