We are now searching for a leader capable of aligning execution across varied school implementations, elevating academic leadership standards, and representing a scientifically grounded movement on the global stage.This is a leadership mandate, not an academic theory position. You will direct academic strategy in execution, establish rigorous standards, surface performance gaps, and guide high-performing teams toward tangible results. You will operationalize our learning science foundation and advocate for this model to external audiences worldwide.
What You Will Be Doing
- Developing academic frameworks that convert learning science into actionable guidance for curriculum development, student motivation systems, and application design.
- Conducting academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure alignment, accountability, and consistent delivery of results across school teams.
- Integrating data analysis, stakeholder interviews, and direct observation into comprehensive academic ecosystem assessments that identify high-impact barriers to accelerated learning and recommend targeted interventions.
- Ensuring strategic alignment via planning processes, continuous feedback loops, and milestone oversight to keep focus on student learning objectives.
- Serving as the principal representative of 2 Hour Learning in high-profile settings—from keynote presentations to engagements with Ministries of Education—to influence systemic transformation in global education thinking.

Director Of Learning Strategy Key Responsibilities
Expand and strengthen 2 Hour Learning's validated academic model by aligning execution across school sites, raising leadership performance standards, and establishing yourself as the authoritative public advocate of a movement rooted in rigorous learning science and demonstrated results.
Basic Requirements
- Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or related discipline
- 7+ years leading academic or EdTech teams with documented evidence of exceptional learning outcomes
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI or technology to drive accelerated learning
- Established track record of public thought leadership including media appearances, keynote speaking, published books, or advisory roles
- Proven performance management capability with experience holding elite peers accountable to high standards
- Proficiency in data interpretation to diagnose learning challenges and guide interventions
- Willingness to engage directly with students, parents, and school leadership
Nice-to-have Requirements
- Experience founding or leading an innovative school model, lab school, or high-impact EdTech organization
- Background navigating cultural, political, or international education environments
- Strong understanding of Bloom's 2 Sigma research and related mastery learning frameworks

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
