Role Overview: As a Finance and Accounting Manager at ValGenesis, you will play a crucial role in leading the finance and accounting functions for the Indian subsidiary. You will be detail-oriented, process-driven, and possess excellent analytical skills. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the budgeting and forecasting process, managing treasury functions, ensuring timely billing and collections, implementing risk management policies, and overseeing the annual financial audit process. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with financial regulations, identifying opportunities for process improvements, managing the purchasing process, and leading a high-performing finance and accounting team. Key Responsibilities: - Recruit and hire accounting staff, conduct performance evaluations, and provide training opportunities. - Implement internal controls over accounting functions to minimize risk. - Manage facilities staff at all locations within India. - Lead budgeting and forecasting process, monitor financial performance, and provide recommendations for improvement. - Manage treasury functions, cash flow, investment strategies, and banking relationships. - Drive timely and accurate billing processes and ensure timely collections. - Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures. - Implement and oversee transfer pricing arrangements to optimize the company's tax structure. - Oversee the annual financial audit process and ensure compliance with audit requirements. - Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. - Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement effective solutions. - Manage the purchasing process for the Indian subsidiary. - Build and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's / Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CA certification is a plus. - 10+ years of experience in finance and accounting in the IT / ITES sectors with India, US entities. - Deep understanding of Indian accounting and US GAAP. - Working knowledge of NetSuite with the ability to plan, report, and analyze finances. - Excellent management and supervisory skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
