Director of Accounting

You will be responsible for overseeing the finance and accounting functions within ValGenesis, a leading digital validation platform provider for life sciences companies. Your role will require you to be detail-oriented, process-driven, and possess an analytical eye with the ability to see the big picture. As a part of the finance and accounting team, you will play a crucial role in achieving total compliance and manufacturing excellence across the product lifecycle. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Supervisory Responsibilities:** - Recruit and hire accounting staff, conduct performance evaluations, and implement training programs. - Oversee internal controls to minimize risk and manage discipline and termination processes. - Hire and manage facilities staff at various locations within India. - **Other Responsibilities:** - Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, monitor financial performance, and provide improvement recommendations. - Manage treasury functions, billing, collections, risk management, transfer pricing, auditing, taxation & compliance. - Identify process improvement opportunities and implement effective solutions. - Manage purchasing process and oversee facilities for the Indian subsidiary. - Build and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's / Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CA certification is a plus. - 10+ years of experience in finance and accounting, particularly in the IT / ITES sectors with Indian and US entities. - Deep understanding of Indian accounting and US GAAP. - Working knowledge of NetSuite and ERP functionalities. - Excellent management, supervisory, communication, organizational, and time management skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
