Preferred candidate profile

Ph.D. in a relevant field, along with a minimum of 15 years of experience with at least 3 years at the level of Professor. Strong academic credentials, including research publications and experience guiding doctoral students

Role & responsibilities

• Formulate and implement the vision, mission, and long-term strategic plan of the college.
• Ensure the institution aligns with regulatory frameworks (AICTE, UGC, AKTU or other affiliating universities).
• Promote innovation, research, and quality education.
• Represent the college in academic and administrative forums, conferences, and regulatory meetings.
• Establish collaborations with industry, research organizations, and academic institutions.
• Supervise curriculum design, academic schedules, and teaching-learning processes.
• Monitor and improve academic quality through feedback, audits, and reviews.
• Ensure adherence to academic calendars and examination schedules.
• Facilitate faculty development programs and continuous learning initiatives.
• Promote accreditation and ranking efforts (NBA, NAAC, NIRF).
• Oversee recruitment, mentoring, appraisal, and development of faculty and staff.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and academic excellence.
• Encourage research, publications, and patents among faculty members.
• Supervise day-to-day administration, budgeting, and resource management.
• Ensure optimal utilization of funds, infrastructure, and human resources.
• Coordinate with management (Chairperson/Board) for approvals and policy decisions.
• Maintain statutory compliance and records (AICTE/University/State Govt).
• Ensure academic support, discipline, and welfare of students.
• Oversee placement activities, internships, and career guidance.
• Address grievances and promote a safe, inclusive, and motivating campus environment.
• Build partnerships with industries for internships, projects, and placements.
• Lead initiatives for community outreach, alumni relations, and institutional branding.
