ROLE: QC cum Production Supervisor

LOCATION: Vadodara, Gujarat

Job Summary: The Diploma MECHANICAL Engineer - QC cum Production Supervisor is responsible for combines responsibilities for both quality control and production management. This position requires a diploma in mechanical engineering, strong skills in interpreting engineering drawings, reading GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), proficiency with precision measuring instruments like micrometers and vernier calipers, and a deep understanding of machining and inspection processes. The supervisor ensures production runs smoothly and efficiently while also maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor daily production activities to ensure targets are achieved.
• Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance) principles in inspection and manufacturing.
• Carry out in-process, incoming, and final inspection using precision instruments (micrometers, vernier calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, etc.).
• Ensure adherence to machining process parameters and maintain quality at every stage.
• Identify and resolve production bottlenecks to improve efficiency.
• Implement and monitor quality control procedures, checklists, and inspection reports.
• Train and guide operators/workers on proper machine handling, measurement, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with design, maintenance, and procurement teams to ensure uninterrupted production flow.
• Maintain proper documentation related to quality assurance, deviations, and corrective actions.
• Support root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate recurring issues.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments.
• Understanding of machining operations (turning, milling, drilling, grinding, etc.).
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 / quality management systems is an added advantage.
• Good problem-solving, leadership, and team management skills.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.

Experience:

• 2–5 years of experience in a machine shop, manufacturing unit, or similar industry.
• Experience in QC & production supervision preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
