Digital Operations Lead

Role Overview
The Digital Operations Lead will oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of digital platforms and data operations. This role requires strong leadership in managing data engineering teams, ensuring operational excellence, and driving automation, governance, and cost efficiency across cloud-based data ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Digital Operations team, ensuring delivery of high-quality data solutions.
• Define and implement strategies for data platform reliability, scalability, and cost optimization.
• Oversee data engineering workflows, including ETL/ELT pipelines, data quality, and governance.
• Drive DevOps and FinOps practices for data platforms, ensuring automation and cost control.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align digital operations with business objectives.
• Establish KPIs and SLAs for data availability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory standards.
• Mentor team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor s/Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in data engineering or digital operations, with 3+ years in leadership roles.
• Expertise in:
• Cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
• Databricks and big data technologies
• DevOps (CI/CD, IaC tools like Terraform/Bicep)
• FinOps (cost governance, optimization strategies)
• Strong knowledge of data governance, security frameworks, and data quality management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect, Databricks Lead, or FinOps Certified Practitioner.
• Experience with data observability tools, monitoring dashboards, and incident management.
• Familiarity with Power BI or other visualization tools for operational reporting.
